Rachel L. Sparke, DVM
Dr. Sparke is a graduate of The Ohio State University with Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2001 and Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine with Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She arrived at Roseland Animal Hospital in 2007 and considers South Bend her home. Her parents and grandmother are also living in South Bend. Dr. Sparke has special interest in veterinary acupuncture/traditional chinese medicine, ultrasound, and nutrition/wellness. She is married to Jay, Practice Manager for Roseland Animal Hospital. They have four beautiful children and a small terrier mix Benji.. She enjoys the great outdoors, running, obstacle race courses, and most other athletic opportunities.
Thomas Maske, DVM
Dr. Thomas Maske joined the practice in June of 2012. He attended the University of Illinois as an animal science major. He continued his education at the University of Illinois and earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in May of 2012. Dr. Thomas enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but holds special interest in internal medicine, surgery and ophthalmology. He resides in the South Bend area with his wife, Emily, two lovely daughters, and cat, Sadie. Dr. Thomas enjoys hiking, fishing, and camping.
Christina Dougherty, DVM
Dr. Christina Dougherty received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2008 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2013. She is passionate about exotic animal pets and completed a one year specialty internship in exotic, wildlife, and zoo animal medicine with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in June of 2014. When not working, you’ll find Dr. Dougherty reading a good book, drawing, or taking ballet classes. She is currently owned by her two cats, Jynx and Bella, and a dachshund, Cookie.
Stefanie Reed, DVM
Dr. Stefanie Reed attended Augustana College in Illinois for undergraduate studies in biology and psychology. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2015. Dr. Reed has special interests in radiology, ophthalmology and the fear-free philosophy of handling cats and dogs. Outside of work, she spends most of her free time hiking with her Labrador mix Lacey May or mountain biking throughout Northern Indiana and Michigan. In addition, she loves horseback, obstacle runs, and outdoor adventuring. Dr. Reed also volunteers with an animal rescue organization that specialized in technical small and large animal rescue during disasters or accidents.
Jay joined Roseland Animal Hospital in 2012 and is our Practice Manager and Human Resources Manager. He is married to Dr. Sparke and they have 4 children, Gavin, Garrett, Kellsie and Kenzie. In his free time, Jay enjoys fishing, camping, and sports.
Kathleen started at Roseland Animal Hospital in 1999. Kathleen is a Client Service Specialist. She has seen this practice grow and change through the years. She knows many clients and patients on a first name basis. Kathleen shares her home with a few feline companions. She enjoys glass on glass mosaic art and gardening.
Christi has been employed with Roseland Animal Hospital since 2003. She fulfills roles as a Client Service Specialist and as our Pharmacy Assistant. Christi and her son Aiden have 3 dogs, Lexi, Hershey, Izzy, 1 snake, Batman, and 2 goldfish, Goldie and Toni Hawk. They enjoy spending time at the lake, beach, and boating.
Rose began working with us in 2004. Rose is currently completing her education as a veterinary technician through AAHA. Together with her husband Brian they have 3 cats, Boomer, Misty Meezer, and Farm Guy. Rose enjoys NASCAR and spending time with her feline family members.
Christina began her career with us in 2007 as an Animal Health Assistant. She completed her education as a veterinary technician through Brown Mackie College in 2012 and is now one of our Technical Assistants. Christina lives with her boyfriend Shawn and his son Levi. Together they have 4 dogs, Aidan, Max, Ocho, and Mic, and one chinchilla, Tara. Christina enjoys off roading, camping, hiking, and riding horses.
Pam started working with us in 2009 as a Customer Service Specialist. She loves working with the animals and their people. Pam, with her husband Matt and 3 children, have 2 dogs, Lily and Snickers and several cats that began as strays, but then stayed. Pam enjoys gardening, flowers, going to the beach, and traveling with her family to a new destination every year, especially out west.
Aubrey began working at Roseland Animal Hospital in April of 2009. Altough she has held several positions with us here, she currently works as a Client Service Specialist. With her husband, James, Aubrey has a home filled with a varity of pets large and small. Aubrey enjoys photography and volunteers her time with Pet Refuge.
Jody joined Roseland Animal Hospital in 2010 as a Pet Care Specialist. In 2012 she began holding puppy kindergarten classes. Her behavior programs have now expanded to include an AKC STAR Puppy program and Canine Good Citizenship training and certification through AKC for adult dogs. Jody has 2 dogs, Star and Lucky, and 1 cat. She enjoys running (a lot!). Jody has been volunteering with Indiana Canine Assistance Network since 2005.
Doreen has been with Roseland Animal Hospital since October 2010 as an Animal Health Assistant. Doreen has 2 very handome boys, Matthew and Nicholas. Doreen has 2 dogs, Jack and Toby, and 2 cats, Max and Macy. She enjoys bowling and spending quality time at home with her family.
Samantha Lee, RVT
Lauren began working at Roseland Animal Hospital since 2012 as an Animal Health Assistant. Lauren shares her home with Mateo, a German Shepherd, and 2 cats, Cali and Oscar. She enjoys doing crafts, shopping, and watching movies.
Nicole Del Boccio
Nicole has been at Roseland since 2014. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and our Hospital Supervisor. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University in Animal Science and her Veterinary Technician degree from Brown Mackie College. She owns a ball python and when not at the clinic she enjoys hiking, biking, and relaxing by the lake with her husband Chris and their dog Remington.
Rebekah started working with us in 2016 as a Pet Care Specialist. Her favorite parts of her job are helping the vets and loving on your critters. She also works as a horse trainer and spends as much time as she can with her husband, Sean, and their two crazy, high-energy rescue dogs, Dilly and Canela
Katie joined the RAH team right out of high school. She works as a Pet Care Specialist and an Animal Health Assistant. Growing up, 4-H and violin occupied most of her days. Now, Judo, volunteering on the puppet team at church, and planning her wedding fills her free time. Mallorey is her Great Pyrenese/Newfoundland cross who is an active farm dog.
Kiera was excited to join the team at Roseland Animal Hospital. Within the coming year she is determined to go back to school and become a veterinary technician. She owns one miniature schnauzer, Duchess, and a mouse, Mitsu. Her spare time is dedicated to volunteering at the Humane Society, drawing, spending time outdoors and of course being with her friends, family and fiancé. Kiera joined our team in 2017.
Brandi began working at Roseland Animal Hospital in October 2017. She says she loves it! "All of the staff are so welcoming, and willing to help out with any questions or problems that come up". She has a son, Gavin, and he is her pride and joy. In her free time Gavin and Brandi love to build legos and also do arts and crafts. Brandi loves to cook and bake and she considers herself a DIYer at heart. She is looking forward to many years working here at Roseland Animal Hospital and being able to help care for all of those furry animals.
Brittany started with Roseland Animal Hospital in October 2017. She has always owned dogs and currently has an American Staffordshire Terrier. She started working with dogs when she was learning to train them. Brittany would love to continue in that field. Her other goals are opening a rescue farm for dogs that have been forced to fight, such as pitbulls and Rottweilers.
Sara joined our team in March 2016. She began work as an Animal Health Assistant and now works as a Pet Care Specialist. Sara is taking online courses to get her degree as a Veterinary Technician. She enjoys hands on learning at Roseland. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her Great Danes, Sammy and Stanley.
Sarah has been employed through Roseland Animal Hospital on and off since 2007. She currently fulfills the role of a Pet Care Specialist. She is a mother of two, James and Ana. She also has two dogs, Blue and Wren. In her spare time she became a personal trainer. She enjoys outdoor activities and fitness.
Kim is a Registered Veterinary Technician whom joined Roseland Animal Hospital in 2017. She gradutated from Brown Mackie's Veterinary Technician program in 2010. Kim and her husband Eric have four children, Autumn, Brayden, Chloe and Deklen. They also have many pets including cats Max, Sam, Ruby, and McRibb, dogs Jasper and Willy, a snake named Boba, a crested gecko named Geckie, and a rat named Peabody. Kim enjoys watching movies and camping with her family.
Taylor joined Roseland Animal Hospital in 2017 as a Pet Care Specialist. She hopes to start college and study Marine and Animal Science. Taylor enjoys being with horses and reading. She has two dogs, Dyamod and Hennessey.
